The Giants' 2021 season has gotten off to a rough start on the field, both with their play and now with injuries. An offensive line that was already loaded with question marks at all five positions will now be without one of its guys in their Week 2 Thursday Night Football matchup against the Washington Football Team.

Shane Lemieux Injury Update

Shane Lemieux will miss Thursday's game and could even be headed to the IR. To replace him, the Giants have signed Matt Skura off their practice squad, a player they brought in during the offseason.

Skura has been in the league for four seasons, all with the Baltimore Ravens. He's started at least 11 games in all four seasons with Baltimore, including 100% of the offensive snaps in 2018.

The experience Skura brings could be a plus for the Giants, but his lack of continuity with their current group could potentially cause problems, especially in Week 2.
