Despite entering Week 7 as 24.5-point home favorites over the South Carolina Gamecocks, the No. 3 Georgia Bulldogs have taken their first loss of the season.

For a team with national title aspirations, this 20-17 double OT loss has to be particularly heart-wrenching for Georgia.

The game went into overtime tied at 17, and Georgia QB Jake Fromm was intercepted on the Bulldogs' first overtime drive. South Carolina then missed what would've been a game-winning field goal attempt, blowing what looked to be its best shot at winning the game outright.

Georgia managed to hold South Carolina to a field goal during its first drive of the second overtime, but Bulldogs' kicker Rodrigo Blankenship missed a 42-yard attempt that would've tied the game, ultimately sealing the victory for the Gamecocks.

Georgia vs South Carolina Odds

Georgia was so heavily favored (24.5 points) that there was no moneyline available on FanDuel Sportsbook for this Week 7 clash. The over/under total was listed at 54 points, so with a combined scored of 37, this game went way under, even with two overtimes.

You have to think a team as talented as Georgia will bounce back from this loss, but this will make it much harder for the Bulldogs to qualify for the College Football Playoff.
