There is a lot of turnover on this Georgia Bulldogs football team, after going 12-2 last season. Former starting quarterback Jake Fromm is gone, as is running back D'Andre Swift and much of the offensive line.

However, the Bulldogs are getting former Wake Forest quarterback and graduate transfer Jamie Newman, who is the top 2020 Heisman Trophy candidate out of the SEC by the odds, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.

Despite those losses, Georgia continues to reel in top recruiting classes, which has also helped the Bulldogs earn the fourth-best odds to win the 2021 College Football Playoff National Championship. The Bulldogs have a lot to prove this season, and in order to do that, they will need to overcome these three major challenges.

Georgia Football Spreads 2020

All college football opponent rankings are according to The Duel's Top-25 Rankings by Odds to Win 2020 National Championship.

1. Week 6: Georgia (-7.5) vs. No. 14 Auburn – Saturday, Oct. 10, 2020

As a freshman, quarterback Bo Nix led the Auburn Tigers to nine wins, including one against the eventual Rose Bowl champion Oregon Ducks. They are a dangerous team, despite losing some significant talent on the defensive side of the ball to the 2020 NFL Draft. It was a tough battle last season, with Georgia taking the 7-point win. With Nix presumably improving in his second college season, the Bulldogs defense will need to be ready for the Tigers in Week 6.

2. Week 9: Georgia (-3.5) vs. No. 5 Florida – Saturday, Oct. 31, 2020

These two SEC East heavy hitters appear to be this year's frontrunners for the division crown once again, making the 2020 chapter of this classic rivalry game an even more important one. The Florida Gators have gone 10-3 and 11-2 in head coach Dan Mullen's first two seasons, respectively, but they have been unable to overcome the Bulldogs. Georgia will need to be sharp to come out of Jacksonville with this win at TIAA Bank Field down in Jacksonville, Florida.

3. Week 3: Georgia (+7) @ No. 3 Alabama – Saturday, Sept. 19, 2020

Week 3's road battle with the Alabama Crimson Tide proves the only matchup in which Georgia is currently the underdog among the available spreads, but it comes at a hefty plus-7-point spread. On top of that, it's the only the third week of the season. With the offensive turnover at O-Line, running back and a new QB situation, Georgia will have the difficult task of being prepared and in sync by the time this trip rolls around. If the Bulldogs have any hiccups, expect Alabama to make quick and ruthless work of exploiting and capitalizing on them.
