Even if you've gotten off to a slow start, sometimes you're just a move or two away from turning your season around. And even the smallest of moves can sometimes reap the biggest rewards.
If you need to make some more moves on the margins, here are three of the best fantasy football waiver wire sleepers for Week 8.
Waiver Wire Sleepers Week 8
Note: Only players rostered in fewer than 20% of Yahoo! fantasy football leagues are in consideration for this list.
3. C.J. Uzomah, TE, Cincinnati Bengals (20% Rostered)
C.J. Uzomah has had some monster games this season. Week 7 was his second outing with 90-plus yards and 2 touchdowns. If you're in need of a dart throw at tight end for the next couple weeks, there aren't many tight ends with more upside than Uzomah. He's a compelling stopgap option for Darren Waller and George Kittle managers.
2. Kalif Raymond, WR, Detroit Lions (3% Rostered)
In a surprising turn of events, Kalif Raymond is starting to establish himself as the Detroit Lions WR1. Raymond has led Detroit WRs in targets in back-to-back weeks now and is coming off an 8-catch, 115-yard outing against the Los Angeles Rams. Now facing the dreadful Philadelphia Eagles' secondary, Raymond could make some real noise again in Week 8.
1. Randall Cobb, WR, Green Bay Packers (9% Rostered)
Davante Adams is all but guaranteed to miss Week 8, meaning we have absolutely no idea what the Green Bay Packers' passing game will look like. Adams has seen 73 targets thus far, and running back Aaron Jones is the only other Packer who has eclipsed even 25 targets. With Marques Valdes-Scantling's status up in the air, Randall Cobb could be thrust into a big role this week. Getting Aaron Rodgers' WR1 or WR2 in a game with a 51-point over/under feels like a smart gamble to take. Just be aware Cobb will likely only have value this week. Allen Lazard (6% rostered) is absolutely the preferred pickup this week, but he's probably become a little too buzzy to warrant a mention in this list.
