PGA DFS This Week
With that in mind, let's take a look at three guys to consider for your fantasy team this week at the AT&T Byron Nelson.
AT&T Byron Nelson Fantasy
John Rahm has put together quite a streak lately that can't be matched by many on tour. Rahm has grabbed nine top-10 finishes in his last 12 events. That type of consistency is insane. And this week, Rahm faces a much less elite field than he dealt with in most of those 12 starts, especially after World No. 1 Dustin Johnson dropped out. Excluding his missed cut at the Wells Fargo Championship last week, Rahm was on a streak of four straight top-10 finishes, which included two top-five finishes. With everyone's experience on this course being limited or non-existent, Rahm's recent play should be all you need to love him this week.
Daniel Berger has been playing some similarly consistent golf to Rahm, just not quite on his level. Berger has notched five top-10 finishes in his last 10 events and finished a respectable T-13 in his last start at the RBC Heritage a few weeks back. Berger ranks No. 30 on tour in Strokes Gained (SG): Off-The-Tee and No. 18 in both SG: Putting and SG: Total. If Berger can continue with this solid play in all areas of his game, there's no reason he shouldn't be near the top of the leaderboard come Sunday.
Will Zalatoris hasn't backed up his second-place finish at The Masters well, finishing T-42 and missing the cut in his two events since. But we're rolling with him here in a weaker field and a relatively unknown course. People forget just how well he was playing even before The Masters, grabbing four top-20 finishes in his eight prior events. He still ranks among the tour's best in some critical categories like SG: Approach The Green (4th), SG: Tee-To-Green (10th) and SG: Total (19th). If he can sort out his putting this week, Zalatoris should expect results similar to Augusta.
