The Pittsburgh Steelers have lacked results in recent years and things have only become more difficult after Ben Roethlisberger retired this offseason. Unfortunately, they also have the displeasure of dealing with the second-hardest 2022 NFL schedule, according to ESPN's Mike Clay.

It isn't all doom and gloom for the 'Black and Yellow,' though. The Steelers still have several winnable matchups on their schedule, with some opponents being far less of a challenge than others.

Here's a look at the three easiest games on the Steelers' schedule in 2022.

Pittsburgh Steelers Schedule 2022

1. @ Atlanta Falcons

The Atlanta Falcons were quite uninspiring last year and nothing about their offseason suggests that they'll be better. In fact, they're projected to be worse now that FanDuel Sportsbook is favoring the Falcons to win four or fewer games in 2022. Even with the shortcomings they've had, the Steelers have better talent on both sides of the ball compared to the Falcons, at least on paper. Add in the fact that Pittsburgh hasn't lost to Atlanta since 2006 and it's simple to see why this is an easy win for the Steelers.

2. @ Carolina Panthers

The Carolina Panthers are another beatable NFC South opponent that the Steelers will face next season. The Panthers just weren't good in 2021, finishing as a bottom-5 offense and also surrendering 23.8 points per game (No. 20). Sam Darnold is still starting under center and it's hard to imagine Carolina finding much success with him. Furthermore, the Panthers have lost six straight games to the Steelers, being outscored by an average of 35.5-13.3. Unless something drastically changes, this is close to being a guaranteed win for Pittsburgh.

3. vs. New York Jets

Any team facing the New York Jets in 2022 is likely smiling, including the Steelers. The Jets have been downright awful lately, averaging 4.5 wins over the last six seasons. Furthermore, New York finished the 2021 campaign with the worst scoring defense, which is promising for a Steelers team that boasts offensive playmakers like Diontae Johnson, Najee Harris and Pat Freiermuth. The Jets nailed the draft this year, but it usually takes more than one solid draft to turn around a franchise that has been as bad as the Jets. This could be a blowout win for the Steelers.
