The Chicago Bears will be hoping a new head coach and a young quarterback can be enough to make some noise in the NFC North this upcoming season. The good news is that Matt Eberflus and Justin Fields have one of the easiest schedules standing in between them and a winning record.

There's no denying that Chicago is going to have its hand full in matchups against teams like the Green Bay Packers and Buffalo Bills. However, there are also a few on tap that should be easy wins for the Bears. Here's a look at the three easiest games on their schedule in 2022.

Chicago Bears 2022 Schedule

1. Week 3: vs. Houston Texans

Anytime Houston is slated to come to town, the home team has a reason to be excited. The Texans posted the 10th-worst total DVOA rating during the 2021 NFL season and only averaged 16.5 points per game (No. 30 in NFL). It's safe to say their struggles on both sides of the football give Chicago a real opportunity to make a statement early on in the season. The Bears have made the playoffs just twice over the last decade and want to make a leap forward with Fields leading the way. Taking care of business against one of the worst teams in the league is the perfect way to start that journey.

2. Week 12: @ New York Jets

The Bears' midseason gauntlet is no joke and features tough matchups left and right. Chicago can finally breathe easy when it takes a road trip to MetLife Stadium to face the New York Jets in Week 12. The Jets are 0-5 straight up in their last five matchups against the Bears and have lost by an average of 8.6 points per game. The Jets gave up the fourth-most passing yards to opposing quarterbacks during the 2021 season (4,611) and tied for the 13th-most passing touchdowns allowed (27). This is the perfect chance for Fields to work on his downfield passing abilities and target wide receiver Darnell Mooney on the outside. Look for the Bears to keep their foot on the gas in this one.

3. Week 17: @ Detroit Lions

The Bears have been dominant against the Detroit Lions lately. Chicago is 7-1 straight up in its last eight games against the Detroit and 4-0 in its last four games played at Ford Field. The Bears made life tough for quarterback Jared Goff in 2021 by sacking him five times and forcing 3 fumbles across two games played. Their relentless pass rush should come in handy once again. Keep in mind the Lions could have their eyes set on a higher draft pick at this point of the season if their record is less than ideal. That could lead to a comfortable late-season win for the Bears.
