The Philadelphia Eagles have played their best looking football of the 2021 campaign during the past three weeks, leading to two wins and a 3-point loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. It's been the rushing attack leading the way with an insane 208.7 rushing yards per game average during that span.
This has all been done without leading RB Miles Sanders, who has been on the injured reserve. The Eagles received some great news around Sanders' latest injury update on Wednesday morning, however.
Miles Sanders Injury Update
Philadelphia officially activated the 21-day practice window for Sanders, the beginning of the process of reactivating him from IR. Sanders landed on the IR after Week 7 with ankle and foot injuries.
Wednesday marks the first day he'll be able to practice with the team since his IR designation. It's currently unclear when exactly Sanders will return, but this is an important first step.
Sanders is still averaging 4.8 yards per carry despite his career-low usage by the Eagles at 9 rushing attempts per game. He also remains a solid threat in the passing game with 19 receptions on 24 targets in just 7 games played.
Philadelphia seems to have found its groove in the run game and re-inserting a dynamic back into the equation will allow this recent success to keep rolling. The Eagles enter Week 11 with a home matchup against the New Orleans Saints. Philadelphia is a 1.5-point favorite on FanDuel Sportsbook.
