Doug Pederson's Excuses for Eagles Struggles Ring Hollow

The Philadelphia Eagles certainly haven't had the 2020 NFL season start that many were envisioning, whether that be Philly fans or the majority of NFL fans in general.
After building a 17-0 lead over the division rival Washington Football Team in Week 1, Doug Pederson's Eagles blew the game to the tune of a 27-17 final. That was followed up by a Week 2 blunder against the Los Angeles Rams at home, losing 37-19 in a game that felt out of reach from the end of the first quarter.
However, Pederson's excuse for his team's struggles, or more specifically those of the offense, was on missed reps in practice due to COVID-19 precautions.
Cam Newton missed those reps and had 397 passing yards yesterday.

Stefon Diggs too - 153 receiving yards.
DeAndre Hopkins? Yes. Leads NFL with 22 catches.
Justin Herbert found out he was starting 10 minutes before kickoff. The Chargers outscored the Eagles yesterday. https://t.co/XRkOhULE6X
Carson Wentz has struggled through the first two weeks of the season as well, throwing 2 interceptions with no touchdowns and just 242 yards on 26-for-43 passing this Sunday against the Rams.
On the season, he now has four interceptions, which is twice as many as his two TD passes, and an abysmal 27.9 QBR, which ranks 32nd in the NFL. Yet, Pederson's best excuse, was once again, missed reps, despite a host of players with new situations excelling in this first two-week window.
Hopefully the Eagles can put things together, and in a hurry, because an 0-2 start will bring out the concerns pretty quickly if it can be attributed to some alarming QB play from Wentz at full health and weapons at his disposal, unlike he had last year.
