It's no secret that the Miami Dolphins are building for the future. After having a fire sale during the season, they have the most picks of any team (12) in the 2020 NFL Draft, including three in the first round.

With that much ammunition, they're going to be big players in how things shake out, and they could end up making a ton of trades.

This is likely all about Tua Tagovailoa. The QB position is their biggest need, and while trading up to first overall to steal Joe Burrow away from the Cincinnati Bengals appears unlikely, Tagovailoa has long been their presumed target with the fifth overall pick.

If Tua's medical reports are favorable at the combine, though, Miami could face some competition for his services. The Detroit Lions have been rumored to have some interest, and while both the New York Giants and Washing Redskins drafted QBs last year, they could trade down to allow another team to snipe Tagovailoa.

Shopping around already, Miami is clearly trying to gauge interest around the league, and the Dolphins are likely feeling out whether they're going to have to move up to get their coveted QB.

With plenty of valuable picks (they have two in the second round in addition to those three firsts), Miami has more than enough ammunition to make a move up for Tagovailoa if they deem it necessary.

The Dolphins haven't made any deals yet, but they're off to a great start in positioning themselves to move all over the board with trades come draft day.
