After being the 30th overall pick in 2020, Desmond Bane has turned into quite the budding young star. The young wing is already off to a career year to start the 2022-23 season, averaging 24.7 points, 5.1 rebounds and 4.7 assists.

Desmond Bane Fine

Bane, unfortunately, did have a minor mental lapse on Monday during the team's loss to the Boston Celtics. During ther fourth quarter, Bane kicked the ball into the stands. This move has now cost him $15,000.

$15K certainly hurts someone like Bane who is on a lower rookie scale contract, but overall, his finances should remain just fine. He's also a young player that probably still has some maturing to do; this will come in time and it will help both his team and his wallet.

This is nothing to get too alarmed over, but at least we know know how much shorter Bane's next check will be.

The Grizzlies' next game is at home against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday, Nov. 11.
