Denzel Perryman has been with the Los Angeles Chargers since getting drafted by the team in 2015. Coming off arguably the best season of his career, in which he earned a stellar 83.3 overall grade from ProFootballFocus, Perryman will reportedly be testing the open market.
With that in mind, here are the three most likely destinations for Perryman in free agency.
Denzel Perryman Free Agency
3. Miami Dolphins
The Miami Dolphins have a great defense, but their linebacking corps could use an upgrade – especially with Kyle Van Noy likely leaving town. Perryman would be a much better option than Elandon Roberts, who received PFF's lowest grade among 83 qualified linebackers.
2. Cleveland Browns
Cleveland Browns' GM Andrew Berry is one of the most analytics-heavy executives in the league. As a result, the Browns clearly don't put much of an emphasis on linebacker, preferring to focus on pass-rush and the secondary instead. Still, Cleveland has money to spend and the roster is in need of an upgrade at the position. So long as Perryman isn't seeking to break the bank, he'd be a really nice fit on this team.
1. Cincinnati Bengals
The Cincinnati Bengals have holes all over this roster, but linebacker is one of their biggest needs. None of the four linebackers that played at least 300 snaps for this team received a grade of even 55.0 from PFF. The Bengals have the sixth-most cap space to spend, and they'd be wise to use some on Perryman.
