Dede Westbrook opened the year as the Jacksonville Jaguars' No. 1 wideout, but after catching zero passes on only one target before being forced out against the New York Jets in Week 8, his fantasy football outlook continues to fall.

Westbrook had 103 receiving yards in Week 7, but he has fallen to No. 2 in the Jags' receiving room, with just over half as many PPR fantasy points (78.3) as DJ Chark (143) has scored in 2019.

This was a prime matchup as well. The Jets came into the week giving up the NFL's fifth-most fantasy points per game to opposing wideouts.

Westbrook was questionable coming into this one, and making an early exit here could lead to the Jaguars taking a more cautious approach with him in Week 10, which would be tough for his fantasy owners because he'd miss out on another great matchup against the Houston Texans.

Even as the Jags' second-most productive WR, Westbrook is going to be hard to bench in fantasy football if he does suit up next week. He was averaging 7.7 targets per game heading into Week 8, and the Texans are also allowing top-10 fantasy production to opposing wideouts. A healthy Westbrook would remain a borderline WR2/WR3 play.
