The Green Bay Packers fought hard for another win in Week 8 despite the absence of leading wide receiver Davante Adams, who was sidelined with COVID-19.
But Green Bay revealed some great news around Adams on Thursday.
Davante Adams Update
The Packers will officially lift their stud wideout off the COVID-19 list ahead of a Sunday's highly-anticipated game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Davante Adams Fantasy Outlook
Despite Aaron Rodgers not playing under center with his own COVID-19 issues, Adams will have no issues regaining his spot amongst the NFL's best fantasy wide receivers on Sunday.
Adams has been a beast in 2021 and ranks as WR6 in overall PPR points scored and WR4 in his average points per week. Keep in mind, he missed one game.
The stud wideout averages more than 10 targets (10.4) per game in 2021 while bringing down 7.4 receptions and 106.3 yards per contest.
It'll be interesting to see how much his production dips with Jordan Love under center, but the Chiefs are one of the worst pass defensive units in football. They rank 30th in Football Outsiders' pass-defense DVOA metric on 269.8 yards and 1.88 passing touchdowns allowed per contest.
Adams will have no issues stepping right back in as a sure-fire WR1 option and could finish near the top in overall performance despite playing with his backup quarterback.
