NFL fans are left wondering if wide receiver Davante Adams' production will drop now that he's apart from quarterback Aaron Rodgers. For what it's worth, Adams is convinced that won't be the case. The All-Pro wideout recently put his new quarterback Derek Carr on the same level as the four-time MVP.

Adams said that Carr's talent and ability is similar to that of Rodgers, a player that has already earned a Lombardi Trophy. Their elite arm strength and dedication to the mental part of the game allows them to find success on the field year after year. That is some high praise for the 31-year-old.
Of course, Adams has seen what Carr can do firsthand considering the two played college football together at Fresno State. He also mentioned during his media availability that he thinks the Raiders QB can still improve as "he is in a position where he's chasing to be one of those all-time greats."
Yes, Carr did end up with more passing yards than Rodgers during the 2021 season. However, the Green Bay Packers star tossed more touchdowns, posted a higher completion percentage and threw less interceptions. Adams said Rodgers' uncertain playing future played a role in the trade, though.
Adams is looking ahead at this point and has his mind focused on helping Las Vegas win football games in the fall. Oddsmakers don't see that being an easy task to accomplish. The Raiders currently have odds set at +198 to make the NFL Playoffs, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
