Las Vegas Raiders' tight end Darren Waller had become a household name in the fantasy football world after finishing as the No. 4 TE in scoring in 2019. Having a great start to this season as well, Waller has posted 148 receiving yards on 18 catches and scored a touchdown through two games.

Waller has quickly become one of quarterback Derek Carr's favorite targets on the offense since the start of last season. He showed a lot of versatility on Monday night lining up in all four skill position alignments and recording at least one reception from each one.

Waller makes the most of his opportunity every time he steps out onto the field. In 2019, he racked up 52 percent of his 1,145 reciving yards on the season after the reception, which is second in the league only to San Francisco 49er tight end George Kittle.

Playing a position known for blocking as much as it is receiving, only 10 players in the NFL had more cacthes than Waller did last season (90) and he looks on par so far this season to reach that number again. It was a welcome sight to see Waller reach the endzone in Week 2 as that was exactly what he struggled to do in 2019 when he only had 3 touchdowns.

Waller faces a New England Patriots' defense that gave up the seventh-fewest yards to tight ends last season. In 2020, the Patriots have only given up 4 receptions to tight ends for a total of 39 yards through two games. However, Waller doesn't get shut down too often as he posted at least 6 receptions and 70-plus yards in over half of his matchups last year.

Moving forward, Waller's emergence last season and continued production this season proves he has what it takes to be an every-week starter in fantasy football. He checks in as the No. 4 tight end in our Week 3 fantasy football rankings and has solidified himself as one of the top tight ends in the game.
