Arguably the most surprising team in football, the New York Giants are finally getting some regonition for their tremendous 6-1 start. At least in terms of weekly honors.
Quarterback Daniel Jones took home the NFC Offensive Player of the Week award after showing off his dual threat abilities against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.
Jones completed 19-of-30 passes for 2022 passing yards and 1 TD. It was his ground game that did the talking, though. The four-year veteran posted 107 rushing yards on just 11 attempts, including one run that resulted in six.
Head coach Brian Daboll is unafraid to let Jones do his damage through the ground. He's on pace to shatter a previous career-high of 423 rushing yards during the 2020 season. At his current trajectory, Jones will finish with 833 yards.
Jones and his Giants now hold +4100 odds to win Super Bowl 57 on FanDuel Sportsbook.
