Daniel Jones' Free Agency Price Tag Revealed

The New York Giants face a major decision at quarterback this offseason as Daniel Jones is set to become an unrestricted free agent. New York still has the option to franchise tag the young quarterback, who blossomed this year under new head coach Brian Daboll, but the Giants have been open about locking him up to a lengthy extension that would save them money on his average annual value.
A recent report from SNY insiders revealed a potential price tag for Jones' extension.

Team insider Connor Hughes suggests Jones could receive somewhere in the range of $35-37 million per year with his new contract. After discussions with executives at the Senior Bowl, Hughes is confident that Jones will fall short of the $40 million threshold.
That said, Jones' future deal all comes down to a matter of years. If New York is unable to reach an agreement with the former Duke product, the expectation is he'll be franchise tagged for 2023.
