Clemson Gets Bad Injury News on a Pair of Starting Defenders

This week's Clemson vs. Notre Dame matchup was already set to include Clemson trying to overcome playing without star quarterback Trevor Lawrence, and now Dabo Swinney and company's task gets even tougher.
A pair of starting defenders, defensive tackle Tyler Davis and linebacker Mike Jones Jr., won't be playing.

Davis and Jones were both out against Boston College last week, and Swinney was optimistic they'd be back for Saturday. Unfortunately, that is not the case.
On the bright side, Swinney did say that both should only miss one more game, as they're expected to be good to go following Clemson's bye week.
Tigers fans can also take some solace in the fact that, even playing short-handed on the road, FanDuel Sportsbook has Clemson favored by 5.5 points over Notre Dame.
