The Kansas City Chiefs may have come away with a win on Monday night, but it wasn't pretty. This team clearly has some real issues it needs to sort out before getting back into the conversation as a Super Bowl contender.

Chiefs News

They looked to address one issue with an NFL trade deadline move on Tuesday, acquiring Melvin Ingram from the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Ingram, a 3-time Pro Bowler, only has 1.0 sack across six games this season, but he's racked up 6 QB hits and has received a strong pass rush grade of 82.1 from Pro Football Focus.

PFF has the Chiefs ranked 31st in pass rush grade this season, and that's reflected by their 4.0% sack rate (also 31st in the NFL).

Melvin Ingram Contract

The 32-year-old Ingram is on a one-year contract, and the Chiefs are on the hook for a $1.9 million cap hit in 2021. This is clearly a win-now move, and one the Chiefs' defense desperately needed.
