Chase Claypool Could Be On Pace For Something Only Jim Brown Has Ever Done

When the Pittsburgh Steelers drafted Chase Claypool out of Notre Dame in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft, most people expected him to be a good NFL wide receiver because, well, the Steelers always draft good wide receivers outside the first round.
However, not even Steelers fans could have predicted he would be this good, this early. Claypool has played 10 career games, and he has 10 total touchdowns. This puts him on a pace to be in range of something only Jim Brown has ever done – score more touchdowns than games played.
Chase Claypool is the first rookie in NFL history to have 10+ total touchdowns and 10 wins in his first 10 career games. That's a Jim Brown-like pace. Brown is the only player in NFL history with more touchdowns than games played in his career.

While Brown's career is obviously one of the more impressive in NFL history, and Claypool has a long way to go to put together a resume like his, it's a heck of a start.
In fact, Claypool just scoring 10 touchdowns in his first 10 games is something that hasn't been done in over 50 years. It will be a tough pace to keep up, but even if he comes close, it will be one impressive career.
