Chad Johnson Goes Off With NSFW Response to Story About Ja'Marr Chase Drops

Cincinnati Bengals rookie Ja'Marr Chase fully owned up to his struggles in preseason recently. The No. 6 pick in this year's draft highlighted that drops are something he has to work on, and he admitted sitting out the 2020 college season at LSU has led to some rust.
However, Chase made headlines again on Thursday after his quote about the difference between college and NFL footballs was cherry-picked for a story. And Bengals legend Chad Johnson wasn't having it.
Totally taken out of context & pieced wrong based on the specific question he was asked, horrible journalism on whoever did this fuck shit ?? https://t.co/aa0J0oY4Nl

Ja'Marr Chase Drops
In the same interview that Chase admitted he was struggling due to his time away from the field, he also gave a reasonable explanation of how the difference in ball appearance is something he's getting used to.
Instead, that part of the story was twisted to make it seem like Chase is using a change in footballs as an excuse for struggling. And Johnson promptly called this out as someone taking the rookie's quote out of context.
haha i never said it was hard to catch. they asked me what the difference was in the ball?. don’t change my words!!! https://t.co/gvt54byEYy

It's great to see Johnson come out so strong in support of the Bengals' top pick. Getting that backing is a huge gesture as the rookie wades through some unwarranted criticism over something he already took responsibility for.
