The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Tennessee Titans made headlines last offseason when fights kept breaking out during their joint practices. Flash forward one year and the same thing seems to be happening. Only this time it's the Buccaneers front office staff that's causing tensions to rise.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers News

Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reported that pushing ensued after Tennessee's Jeffrey Simmons brushed Duke Preston during a pass-rushing drill. The Buccaneers' vice president of player engagement was acting as the mock quarterback and certainly did not take kindly to the contact.

As a former offensive lineman with 20 NFL starts under his belt, it's no surprise that Preston had such a high level of intensity at practice, but you still don't love to see a non-player involved in any on-field altercations.

With no other reports stating any fights occurred, it looks like the incident was just an instance of two teams playing with some fire. The Buccaneers and Titans will meet head-to-head on Saturday in preseason action. Both teams enter the contest with an 0-1 record after taking a loss last weekend.

This bizarre incident only adds to what has been an exciting day of NFL joint practices. Multiple players had to be ejected as the Carolina Panthers and New England Patriots got into a major scrum. Running back Christian McCaffrey was at the center of it all after taking on a tough sideline tackle.

Tampa Bay is a 3-point road underdog this weekend with odds set at +125 on the moneyline, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. Without quarterback Tom Brady in the picture, look for second-year pro Kyle Trask and veteran Blaine Gabbert to handle the snaps for head coach Todd Bowles.
