Woody Paige Offers Prediction on Next Broncos GM

The Denver Broncos are in the thick of a search for their new GM after QB legend John Elway was elevated to a higher role in the front office. Elway is in charge of hiring the next general manager, but he'll give his successor final say in roster decisions.
Two candidates have emerged as finalists for the Broncos GM job, and longtime Broncos columnist Woody Paige has offered his prediction on who will land the gig.
My best information is that Fontenot becomes Falcons GM and Paton Broncos GM. And Broncos offer to hire Kelly as assistant GM and VP of personnel.

Paige believes George Paton will land the Denver gig, while fellow finalist Terry Fontenot ends up in Atlanta as their new GM. Paige is tapped in to the league, so the fact that he cites information he's been told should be a good indicator about the likelihood of this situation unfolding.
Paton, who's spent the last 14 seasons with the Minnesota Vikings, is a well-regarded GM candidate known for a keen eye towards draft prospects. Defensive standouts like Harrison Smith and Eric Kendricks along with offensive stars like Dalvin Cook and Justin Jefferson have come Minnesota's way in part due to Paton.
With a major question at QB due to Drew Lock's struggles and the No. 9 pick in the upcoming draft, Paton would be an excellent mind to bring in as the team decides how to best utilize its top pick, whether that's selecting Lock's replacement or picking the right weapon to pair with the QB.
