Sean Payton still hasn't filled out his coaching staff yet after being hired as the next head coach of the Denver Broncos, but on Friday he did add one more guy to the mix.

Broncos Hire Chris Banjo

The Broncos have hired Chris Banjo to be the team's assistant special teams coach. He was a former special teams standout with Payton's Saints teams. The cornerback was just waived by the Arizona Cardinals and is now immediately joining the coaching ranks.

After spending 10 years in the league, Banjo gets a quick opportunity with his former coach. It's not quite a premier position, but it's a great opportunity for a smart and respected player who wants to start his career on the other side of the lines.

Everyone starts out at the bottom of the totem pole in the coaching world in some form or fashion, but getting a chance to learn under one of the best in the game is a huge opportunity, and judging by how highly Payton views Banjo, he will be a great choice and excel quickly through the coaching ranks.
