The Buffalo Bills have been playing in the New England Patriots' shadow for a long time in the AFC East. However, it seems like this is their year to take over the top spot as their odds to win the division continue to improve after back-to-back wins to start off the 2020 NFL season.
The Bills already have two division wins after defeating the New York Jets and Miami Dolphins and are the only team in the division to start 2-0. Quarterback Josh Allen is having a great start to the year as he became just the fourth quarterback in NFL history to throw for 700-plus yards, 6-plus touchdowns and 0 interceptions through the first two weeks of the season.
Notably, the other three to accomplish this feat are Tom Brady, Peyton Manning and Patrick Mahomes.
Buffalo Bills AFC East Odds
After beginning the season tied with the Patriots for the best odds to win the AFC East, according to FanDuel Sportsbook, the Bills have emerged as the sole favorite with odds at -110 after two weeks of play.
New England is not far behind with odds currently set at +110, but it is interesting to see the odds shift in Buffalo's favor this quickly. Prior to the year, the Patriots' win total was set at 9.5 while the Bills' was set at 8.5.
Through two weeks, the Bills are averaging 29.0 points per game (T-No. 6 in the NFL) while only giving up 22.5 points per game (No. 13 in the NFL). Josh Allen leads the league in passing yards (729) and wide receiver Stefon Diggs is tied for the league lead in receiving yards (239).
The Bills host the Los Angeles Rams in Week 3 hoping to start the season 3-0 for the second consecutive year.
