Game 5 of the Milwaukee Bucks-Brooklyn Nets second round series could be a turning point. James Harden returned, and was a non-factor with 5 points, yet the Nets still won to take a 3-2 series lead thanks to another sensational performance from superstar Kevin Durant (49 points, 17 rebounds).
Game 6 is back in Milwaukee Thursday, and the NBA Playoffs odds favor the Bucks (-5.5) to win and force Game 7.
Here are three player prop bets for Game 6 between the Nets and Bucks, courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook.
1. Kevin Durant - Points + Rebounds: Under 46.5 (-106)
Betting against Kevin Durant seems silly, especially after he had a triple-double in Game 5 with 49 points, 17 rebounds and 10 assists. We squeezed out a combined under points and rebounds prop winner in Game 4 versus Durant, and now the same prop has been bumped up a full 5 points. Durant played the full 48 minutes in Game 5, and a closeout game on road against a Bucks defense that held Brooklyn to 83 and 96 points in Games 3 and 4 should make it tough on Durant again without Kyrie Irving able to play this game.
2. James Harden - Alternate Points: Over 19.5 (+178)
Harden's points prop in Game 1 was 27.5 and he went down early in the first quarter for a pair of easy prop winners including an alternate prop. Now his points prop is 16.5 after scoring just 5 points on 1-of-10 FG in his return to action. Go for the bigger score on Harden bouncing back and take nearly 2/1 odds on the alternate points prop.
3. Brooks Lopez - Rebounds: Over 6.5 (-120)
See the comments from Game 4 props on underrated defender and rebounder Brooks Lopez. The 7-footer was an alternate prop winner in Game 4 with 11 rebounds, and his two best rebounding and defensive games in this series were at home. Expect Lopez to hit the glass hard in hopes of staving off elimination.
