Kickers are often simply an afterthought in fantasy football. Sharp fantasy football managers, though, can take advantage of this. While your leaguemates may not even be able to name 12 kickers off the top of their head, it can really pay to know who the best fantasy options really are.
The Duel is here to help with that. These are the top 12 kickers for 2020 fantasy football.
Fantasy Football Kicker Rankings 2020
12. Ka'imi Fairbairn, Houston Texans
11. Jason Myers, Seattle Seahawks
10. Mason Crosby, Green Bay Packers
Mason Crosby has long been a consistent fantasy football option while playing with Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers, but his value seems to be declining. Crosby finished just 16th at the position in fantasy scoring in the 2019 season, which came on the heels of a seventh-placed finish in 2018. The 35-year-old is still accurate, having made a stellar 91.7 percent of his field goals last year, but he's now attempted fewer than 25 field goals in two of the last three seasons.
9. Matt Prater, Detroit Lions
8. Younghoe Koo, Atlanta Falcons
7. Zane Gonzalez, Arizona Cardinals
6. Matt Gay, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Matt Gay had a breakout rookie season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2019. He knocked down 27 of his 35 field goal attempts while also going 43-of-48 on extra points. That production had him finish as the fourth-ranked kicker in fantasy football. The Bucs offense is shaping up to be one the best in the NFL, and Gay should continue to get a ton of scoring opportunities.
5. Robbie Gould, San Francisco 49ers
4. Greg Zuerlein, Dallas Cowboys
3. Will Lutz, New Orleans Saints
2. Justin Tucker, Baltimore Ravens
1. Harrison Butker, Kansas City Chiefs
Harrison Butker led all kickers in fantasy points in 2019, giving him back-to-back finishes in the top three at the position. That's what happens when you're attached to the best quarterback and the best offense in the NFL. Expect the Chiefs to continue to do a ton of scoring, and expect that to continue translating to huge fantasy output for Butker.
