The Cincinnati Bengals have a core group of young players that will hopefully spring the team into postseason contention as soon as next season. Cincinnati's offense got another boost when the team received good news regarding tight end C.J. Uzomah's latest injury update.

C.J. Uzomah Injury Update

It seems like Uzomah will be fully healthy and ready to go for 2021 after suffering a season-ending Achilles injury in Week 2 of last year. The Bengals will likely still ease Uzomah back into action during practices and training camp, but this is the best news they could've gotten.

It certainly felt like quarterback Joe Burrow and Uzomah had an early connection brewing last season. In fact, it was Uzomah that caught Burrow's first career NFL touchdown pass. The veteran NFL player hauled in 8 receptions for 87 yards and 1 touchdown in 2 games played last year.

Uzomah will need to impress during the summer in order to lock in the starting role in next season over Drew Sample (40 receptions, 349 yards in 2020). However, the Bengals' offense would only improve if Uzomah can find any of the magic he had going early on in 2020.

The Bengals head into 2021 with odds set at +450 to make the playoffs, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. They also have a win total number set at 6.5, with odds of +120 on the over and -140 on the under.
