The long wait for the new Madden ratings is over and, of course, there are plenty of arguments and unhappy players. We have seen the top-rated players and the snubs all over social media, so that isn't new. What is often glossed over, however, are the overall team ratings.

The competitive NFC North is interesting in 2020 for a variety of reasons, and the Madden ratings are included along with that. Thanks to their stacked defense, the Chicago Bears are tied as the top-rated team in the NFC North on Madden 21.

Tied with the NFC North champion Green Bay Packers, the Bears have an overall team rating of 81, placing them at 11th overall on Madden. It's the defense that leads the way for Chicago, with a defensive rating of 85, tying them with the Los Angeles Chargers for the top-rated defense in the game.

The top 10 rated players on the Bears feature seven guys from the defense, including Khalil Mack (97), Eddie Jackson (89), Akiem Hicks (88), Kyle Fuller (85), Eddie Goldman (84), Roquan Smith (83) and Robert Quinn (82). The three offensive players in the top 10 are Allen Robinson (89), Charles Leno Jr. (81) and Cody Whitehair (81).

While the defense is stacked, the offense is rated just 79 overall, which is the seventh-worst in Madden. Of course, the quarterback issues are a big part of it. Nick Foles is slightly better than Mitch Trubisky, at 72 and 71, respectively.
