The health of the quarterbacks will be front-and-center Sunday at the Meadowlands as Lamar Jackson returns after missing the final four-plus games of 2021 – all losses – and Joe Flacco fills in for Zach Wilson.

Baltimore Ravens - SIC Score 81.6

Left tackle Ronnie Stanley will not play on Sunday after missing the last season-and-a-half with left ankle injuries.

The Pro Football Docs have significant concern that the veteran lineman, who has a 59 season SIC score, will return as a diminished version of his all-pro self.

Gus Edwards is on the PUP list and out the first four games but returning back J.K. Dobbins has reportedly progressed quickly and has practiced every day this week, but is still unlikely to play this week, according to the Pro Football Docs.

Outside linebackers Tyus Bowser, David Ojabo, and Vince Biegel were placed on the PUP and NFI lists, respectively, after tearing Achilles tendons.

Second-year rusher Odafeh Oweh and veteran strong-side backer Justin Houston will have to shoulder the load, with help from the top-end defensive backfield.

On the back end, Marus Peters is attempting to return on Sunday from his Sept. 2021 torn ACL but carries an SIC score of 52 and would be susceptible against dynamic Elijah Moore and rookie Garrett Wilson.

New York Jets - SIC Score 87.3

The 23-year-old gunslinging quarterback will miss at least the first three weeks of the season with a right knee bone bruise and torn meniscus.

Flacco will work behind an offensive line that is already without Mekhi Becton and will be without Duane Brown for the forseeable future with a shoulder injury.

Tackle George Fant has been limited this week with a knee issue but will play. He will likely move back to left tackle with Brown out.

Reserve tackle Conor McDermott is questionable after missing the last month with an ankle sprain, but may have to start at right tackle with New York already thin.

On defense, cornerback D.J. Reed is questionable with a knee issue but will likely play.
