After meeting in a 10-inning affair on Friday, the Houston Astros (3-5) and Minnesota Twins (5-2) go head-to-head again at 2:10 p.m. ET on Saturday, April 8.

After being tied at 1-1 following the ninth inning, Mauricio Dubon put the Astros up 2-1 in the top of the 10th with a single. Unfortunately for Houston, reliever Ryne Stanek couldn't close out the game as Jose Miranda and Kyle Former each drove in a run on singles to give Minnesota the 3-2 victory.

Can the Twins pick up another victory over Dusty Baker's club? Or will the Astros exact revenge for last night's loss?

Astros vs Twins Prediction & Pick

The Astros hope that a bounce-back performance from Luis Garcia leads them to victory. The former AL Rookie of the Year finalist struggled in his only previous start this season. In last week's 6-3 loss to the Chicago Cubs, Garcia surrendered 3 runs on 7 hits, 2 walks and a home run over 5 innings of work.

Meanwhile, the Twins turn back to Joe Ryan, who looked terrific to begin the 2023 campaign. The 26-year-old starting hurler pitched to a 1.50 ERA with 7 strikeouts over 6 innings in a 7-4 victory over the Kansas City Royals on April 2. Having said that, Ryan did give up 4 runs over as many innings in his lone previous start against Houston.

While the Twins have the home crowd on their side, I see the Astros winning today. They're the defending World Series champions and are better than they've shown. Plus, Garcia is 3-1 with a 2.66 ERA in four previous matchups against Minnesota.

It'll be another close game, but look for the Astros to get revenge for last night's loss.

Final Score Prediction: Astros: 4 | Twins: 3

Astros vs Twins Best Bet

Minnesota may have won yesterday, but that doesn't change how the offense has been struggling lately. It's been held to one or fewer runs after nine innings in each of the last three games. Now the Twins have to go up against Garcia, who they've had little success against in the past.

Having finished with fewer than 3.5 runs in five of their first seven games this season, expect another quiet output from Minnesota again this afternoon.

Bet: Twins Total Runs — Under 3.5 (-104)
