Astros Get Bad News With Alex Bregman Injury Update

The Houston Astros weathered through some early absences at the start of the 2021 season and are rolling now. They're firmly in the playoff hunt with a 39-28 record, sitting second in the AL West behind the Oakland Athletics.
However, star third baseman Alex Bregman could be line to miss some time after Wednesday's game.

Alex Bregman Injury
Bregman left in the first inning of Wednesday's contest against the Texas Rangers with what appeared to be a leg injury. It's been reported now that the 3B is dealing with left quad strain, and manager Dusty Baker isn't optimistic about a quick return. Baker said Bregman is expected to be out "for a while."
If the two-time All-Star does miss a sizable chunk of action, it'd be a blow to Houston's lineup. Bregman has hit 7 home runs and 34 RBI with 14 doubles while slashing .275/.359/.428 across 59 games.
