Amari Cooper Injury Update Creates Fantasy Value for Michael Gallup

Coming off one of the best games of his career last week, Amari Cooper looked poised to dominate the leaky New York Jets' secondary in Week 6. However, Cooper suffered a quad injury early on, and was ruled out for the remainder of the game.
Amari Cooper has been ruled out, per CBS. That's a game changer. #Cowboys

Of course, this is a brutal development for Cooper's fantasy owners, as he only had one catch (a three-yard reception) prior to the injury. He entered the week as fantasy's WR2 in standard scoring leagues, averaging 16.2 fantasy points per game.
While it's unclear just how severe this injury is, Michael Gallup will likely see a boost in production if Cooper is forced to miss time.
Amari Cooper’s quad injury will keep him out of the rest of the Cowboys game vs. the Jets. Would be a big break for the #Eagles if he missed next week.

Gallup has missed two games thus far, but he's been really productive whenever he's seen the field, averaging 96.8 receiving yards per game across four starts.
The Jets' defense did an admirable job covering him in Week 6 though, holding Gallup to four receptions and 47 receiving yards. Still, Cooper had a 25 percent target share entering Week 6, which was tied for the 12th-highest mark among WRs.
If Cooper has to miss a game or two, a potential uptick in targets will likely boost Gallup's value.
