The NFL recently released its updated taunting rules for the 2021 season, and saw significant backlash. New York Giants John Mara, however, came out in support of the change because he's "tired of the talking."

New Orleans Saints star Alvin Kamara took exception to Mara's comments and promptly called him out on Twitter.

Kamara used the corn and knee emojis to criticize Mara for his "corny" take. Players have been outspoken about the change to the taunting rule, and Kamara is the latest to take aim at the league's new policy.

Among the new rules this season, two taunting violations in a single game will result in an automatic ejection. There's also the possibility for fines or suspensions. It's easy to see why players are upset. What constitutes "taunting" is objective at best, so it'd be no surprise to see numerous appeals during the season over questionable violations.

It remains to be seen how the taunting rules will impact games in the regular season, but hopefully they still allow players to show some personality on the field.
