Alvin Kamara Injury Update Gives Huge Boost to Mark Ingram Fantasy Outlook in Week 13

A nagging MCL sprain has kept Alvin Kamara sidelined since Week 9 and the New Orleans Saints will have to wait a little longer to see their superstar running back make his return.
Alvin Kamara Injury Update
The #Saints won’t have star RB Alvin Kamara (knee), OT Ryan Ramczyk (knee) or OT Terron Armstead (knee) for tonight vs. #Cowboys, sources tell me and @SlaterNFL. They are out. Short-handed again.

NFL insider Ian Rapoport reported that Kamara will be out for the Saints' Thursday Night Football contest, leaving a huge fantasy opportunity for backup Mark Ingram.
Mark Ingram Fantasy Outlook
Ingram immediately vaults back into a legitimate RB2 option, and potential RB1, in Week 13 because of his increased workload.
In two Saints games without Kamara, Ingram operates at RB8 for PPR leagues and averages 22.5 opportunities (15 rush, 7.5 targets), 5 receptions and 110.5 rushing and receiving yards in those contests.
The Cowboys are great jumping off point for Ingram, who is returning from his own injury that saw him miss Week 12 action, and rank just 18th in Football Outsiders' rush-defense DVOA metric this season.
