Aaron Rodgers Skyrocketing in MVP Odds

Despite having a bye in Week 5, Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has only continued to rise in the odds to win NFL MVP on FanDuel Sportsbook. After leading his team to a 4-0 record while putting up tremendous individual performances, Rodgers now sits second in the odds to win NFL MVP, at +400.
Rodgers has completed 70.5 percent of his passes for 1,214 yards and 13 touchdowns through his first four weeks, which were all wins. He also has a 92.8 QBR, which is the highest ever tracked through four games. This explains why he has jumped from +2000 to +400 in the odds in just a matter of weeks.
Aaron Rodgers' 92.8 Total QBR is the highest by any player through 4 games since QBR was first tracked in 2006.

2nd and 3rd on the list are 2013 Peyton Manning and 2007 Tom Brady.

Also assisting in Rodgers' ascent in the MVP odds was Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs losing to the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 5. We know the league MVP award heavily takes win-loss record into account, so it's not a surprise to see the last two MVPs, Mahomes (+500) and Lamar Jackson (+1600), sitting behind the undefeated Rodgers.
On top of the odds continues to be Russell Wilson, at +100. Through five games, Wilson has completed 72.8 percent of his passes for 1,502 yards, 19 touchdowns and three interceptions. If he continues at this pace, while his team is winning games, Wilson should finally be considered for the NFL MVP.
