After an impressive 14-3 record during the regular season, the Philadelphia Eagles punched their tickets to the NFL Playoffs as the No. 1 seed in the NFC. This means a first-round bye for Philadelphia during Wild Card weekend.

The team still returned to the practice field on Thursday after a brief break, and star wide receiver A.J. Brown was notably absent from the event. He cleared the air that same day on why he was sitting out.

It's nothing concerning for Eagles fans. Brown indicated that the team opted to give him a simple rest day. He expects to be ready for Friday's practice.

Brown has been a crucial piece to the Eagles' success thus far. He leads the team in virtually every receiving category, including 145 targets, 1,496 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns. DeVonta Smith just beat him out with 95 receptions to Browns' 88.

The Eagles are in wait-and-see mode as they'll face the lowest remaining seed during the Divisional Round. For now, Philadelphia retains the third-best odds (+500) to win Super Bowl 57 on FanDuel Sportsbook.
