Randall Cobb was once one of the brightest young talents in the league and was seemingly capable of doing it all for the Green Bay Packers. Unfortunately, injuries were a consistent issue after his breakout 2014 season and the veteran wideout saw his role in the Packers' offense diminish as each season went by. Cobb clearly has a lot to prove now that he's an expected free agent, but he just might be able to salvage his career if he lands with the right team.
Here are three likely landing sports for the veteran wide receiver.
3. Buffalo Bills
The rebuilding Bills aren't exactly an ideal landing spot based on the state of the franchise, but Cobb would provide an instant upgrade to a Buffalo wide receiver corp that's completely devoid of talent. Cobb would be the best receiver on Buffalo's roster if signed and should see a huge uptick in production if he can develop a solid rapport with quarterback Josh Allen.
2. Pittsburgh Steelers
The Steelers made it clear they're willing to trade Antonio Brown this offseason. As soon as they ship him off to a new home, they'll need another receiver. Cobb doesn't have the kind of talent Brown does, but playing with Ben Roethlisberger is enticing and he'd be an excellent complimentary receiver to JuJu Smith-Schuster, Pittsburgh's soon-to-be No. 1 wideout.
1. New England Patriots
The Patriots could use another wide receiver, and while recent reports revealed they're looking for all-world talent like Odell Beckham, Randall Cobb could be a high-upside consolation prize. The Pats have a penchant for turning marginal receivers into stars. Considering Tom Brady would be his quarterback, New England would be the perfect place to revive his career.
