Mark Turgeon has been the head coach of the Maryland Terrapins men's basketball team since 2011. Prior to that, he was the head coach of the Texas A&M Aggies from 2007-11. That's 10-plus season at Power 5 schools. In all of those years, Turgeon has produced an 0-29 record against ranked teams on the road. Yup, not a single win.

There is a caveat though, he did get two road wins over ranked teams with Wichita State, where he was the head coach from 2000-07. However, Wichita State is not a Power 5 program.

And tonight, the No. 24-ranked Terrapins go on the road to Iowa City, IA, to take on the No. 21-ranked Iowa Hawkeyes.

This will be Turgeon's last chance this season to break the streak as the Terps don't have anymore road games against ranked opponentsHe is 0-19 when facing those circumstances in his eight years with Maryland.

Whether this losing streak continues or not is to be determined, but the Terps have certainly put themselves in a good enough position to have a shot to win tonight. According to ESPN's BPI, there's a 37.7 percent chance that they come out on top against Iowa, to be exact. And that's likely about 30 percent more than you could expect with an 0-29 record in these situations.
