When are the 2019 Oscars?

The Oscars will be televised on February 24 at 8:00 p.m. EST.

Who's hosting the 2019 Oscars?

The 2019 Oscars won't have a host this year, and it marks the first time since 1989 that the award show will be without one. A number of presenters have already been named as a proverbial fill-in, but everyone is really wondering who will win the awards.

Who is nominated for Best Supporting Actress this year?

One of the most intriguing categories at the Oscars this year is Best Supporting Actress. The nominees consist of the 2006 winner for Best Supporting Actress, Rachel Weisz, industry staples, Emma Stone and Amy Adams, and first-time nominees, Marina de Tavira and Regina King. All odds via FanDuel Sportsbook.

Regina King, the heavy favorite, was nominated for her role in "If Beale Street Could Talk". King plays Sharon, a loving mother who is determined to exonerate her pregnant daughter's wrongfully convicted love interest before her first grandchild arrives.

Amy Adams plays Lynne Cheney, the wife of Vice President, Dick Cheney, in "Vice", a "dra-medic" depiction of Cheney's story. Adams was also a producer on the project and had a lot of influence on the creative choices made throughout the film.

Rachel Weisz's nomination was for her role as Lady Sarah in, "The Favourite". She joins cast-mates Emma Stone and Sam Rockwell, as well as director Yorgos Lanthimos, who are up for Best Supporting Actress, Best Supporting Actor, and Best Director, respectively. The movie is receiving a ton of recognition and both actresses deserve their nominations, but sharing the screen may also result in a divide amongst the voters who loved the film and hurts both of their odds of taking home the Oscar.

Finally, the underdog, Marina de Tavira. While de Tavira is a long shot, she has a chance to make history. If she wins Best Supporting Actress she would be just the fourth individual to win an Oscar in a foreign language film and she would be the first of the lot to win in a Spanish speaking role.
