Those who drafted Doug Baldwin early are hating the current situation in Seattle. Tyler Lockett owners are feeling a little bit different. In fact, it's the total opposite.
You used to be able to count on Baldwin as the top target and a touchdown machine for Russell Wilson and Seattle. That passing of the guard changed at some point this offseason (likely when Baldwin was hurt) as Lockett is now the favorite for this team.
Baldwin is no longer a fantasy asset as Lockett continues to shine.
Is Tyler Lockett the #1 receiver? Did they just write Doug Baldwin out of the picture???— Tricia Romano (@tromano) November 11, 2018
Once you get past Baldwin's name and look at his numbers, it's clear the wideout has fallen off.
Remember when Doug Baldwin was a vertical slot player in Seattle with unsustainable TD production?— Jacob Henry (@JacobHenryFF) November 13, 2018
May I introduce you to Tyler Lockett? pic.twitter.com/1tpoSOPoML
He has dealt with injuries this season, but even when he has been on the field he hasn't done well. Baldwin hasn't scored a touchdown yet this season and has only eclipsed 50 yards just twice.
Lockett, on the other hand, has scored seven times and has nearly 500 yards receiving.
Tyler Lockett made five catches on six targets for 67 yards and a TD.— Samuel Gold (@SamuelRGold) November 12, 2018
He is generating a passer rating of 157.9, which is number 1 among all WRs in the NFL! #Seahawks
It's hard to believe, but Baldwin has outscored Lockett only twice this season.
Just another unexpected change in the fantasy football world.
