Oakland Raiders running back Marshawn Lynch was scheduled to be sidelined for at least a month with a groin injury, and was surprisingly placed on the injured reserved earlier today. And that could also mean that his time in Oakland is over.

Lynch, who is originally from the Bay Area, has had a tumultuous time in his short stint as a Raider. If he did play his final snap as a member of the team, he'll have finished the 2018 season with 90 carries for 376 rushing yards (4.2 YPC) and three touchdowns.

The absence of Lynch means that Doug Martin and Jalen Richard will likely handle the bulk of the backfield duties moving forward. Neither guy has been particularly effective rushing the ball, but Richard is currently second on the Raiders in receptions (31) and targets (37).

With Oakland's season all but over, look for them to take a hard look at each of those guys and see if they fit into head coach Jon Gruden's future plans.
