Not too long ago, Teddy Bridgewater looked like one of the brightest young quarterbacks in the NFL. A few years and one devastating knee injury later, and now he's been demoted to backup duty. That doesn't mean there isn't untapped potential here, but he's certainly an intriguing risk in free agency.
Here are three teams who should sign Bridgewater this offseason.

This may seem strange considering he's currently on the team, but there's no need to fix what's broken. Drew Brees is about to become the all-time leader in passing yards and that means two things -- He's extremely good, but his age is also getting up there. The latter could open up the door for Bridgewater as they have no other option waiting in the wings. He can sit on the bench another season and learn from Brees and then enter as the starter with years of playbook knowledge under his belt.

Bridgewater briefly called Metlife Stadium home, and his future makes sense with Big Blue as it would help them move on from Eli Manning. Adding Bridgewater not only gives them an option to lean on for the present, but he could be their guy looking ahead to the future.

Adding Bridgewater does a lot for the Dolphins, but mostly, it gives them options when it comes to Ryan Tannehill. If they want to move on, it gives them someone who can fit in right away. If they're unsure, it'll give them a quarterback to possibly light a fire under the former first-rounder since he's had no threat to his job over the years. Either way, a talented quarterback like Bridgewater is an integral piece of the puzzle here.
