Greg Olsen entered Sunday with a precautionary questionable tag because of a back injury.

Now, once again, he’ll have a foot injury to deal with.

Olson, who missed nine games in 2017, left during the first half of Sunday’s contest against the Dallas Cowboys. Before exiting, he finished with two catches for 33 yards.

This is new territory for Olsen, who had been such a reliable body before the 2017 season. Prior to last season, he had played in all 16 games nine times in 10 seasons – the one season Olsen didn’t play in all 16 games, he was relegated to 14.

The Panthers can ill afford to have to a major injury like this to their receiving core. After all, Kelvin Benjamin ain’t walking through that door, and the combination of Devin Funchess, Torrey Smith, and DJ Moore isn't a formidable one on paper.

Be sure to look out for Ian Thomas in your fantasy football leagues, as he is currently the only healthy tight end on the Panthers depth chart. Also look for the Panthers to sign a veteran tight end in the coming weeks.
