49ers' Contract Offer to Trent Williams Revealed

The San Francisco 49ers are looking to make a splash in NFL free agency. One priority for the team has been re-signing top offensive tackle Trent Williams, who has drawn interest from other franchises looking to upgrade their offensive line.
With free-agent negotiations finally opening up on Monday, details on the contract the team has offered Williams have surfaced.
Papa says #49ers have a 4-$80M on table for @TrentW71 , no other details. Will have to come up to keep 71. Have to be creative, other teams (Indy) have more $ space and need as well.

Trent Williams 49ers Contract Rumors
San Francisco has reportedly sent out a four-year, $80 million contract to their elite left tackle. That's a boatload of money, but quarterback protection is at a premium now more than ever. The team's Super Bowl aspirations likely rely on keeping Jimmy Garoppolo healthy, so retaining a top talent like Williams is unsurprisingly on the 49ers' wishlist this offseason.
In his first year with San Francisco, Williams was ProFootballFocus' top-rated offensive tackle with an astounding 91.9 grade, proving he is still one of the best at his position after missing the 2019 season. In 957 snaps, he registered just 10 penalties and 4 sacks allowed.
After acquiring Williams last offseason for a fifth- and third-round pick, the 49ers appear locked into trying to keep him. But, the Kansas City Chiefs remain a threat to steal him even after signing Joe Thuney, making this a potential bidding war.
