3 Potential Trade Scenarios for Kevin Love

Cleveland Cavaliers power forward Kevin Love has been the subject of trade rumors pretty much since LeBron James left Cleveland for the Los Angeles Lakers prior to last season.
With this in mind and rumors floating around again as of late, let's explore three potential trade scenarios if the Cavs decide to trade the All-Star power forward as we move prepare for the third month of the NBA season.
1. Portland Trailblazers
Despite Portland's addition of Carmelo Anthony a few weeks back, adding Love could be a smart next acquisition, especially if they're looking to compete for a title this season. Still in need of some frontcourt scoring, the Blazers could build a package around Hassan Whiteside, who has an expiring contract and would open up cap space for Cleveland next summer. Whiteside will be more expendable once Jusef Nurkic returns in 2020. The Cavaliers will also probably look to grab another young player and/or draft pick in the deal, so Portland could also include Nassir Little or a future first-round pick.
2. Denver Nuggets
The Denver Nuggets certainly have the assets to get a deal done here. A package built around Gary Harris could be a good starting point. Malik Beasley is another young piece the Nuggets can dangle in front of the Cavs, as he and Denver have failed to reach an agreement on a contract extension. However, the most intriguing piece the Nuggets have is Michael Porter Jr. He was the projected No. 1 pick in 2018 before injuries caused him to drop all the way to the Nuggets at 14. Still believed to have a very bright future with star potential, Porter Jr. and draft picks leave Denver with plenty of enticing options for the Cavs.
3. Sacramento Kings
The Sacramento Kings are loaded with young talent and potential to include in a trade for Kevin Love. A deal centered around Bogdan Bogdanović, who the Kings have failed to reach a contract extension with, and Harry Giles could be a jump-off point. Someone like Trevor Ariza might need to be included in the deal as well to match salaries, but Love could become a solid veteran presence and consistent source of scoring in the Kings frontcourt, especially while Marvin Bagley is out. A future first-round pick could also be included to sweeten the pot.
