3 Ohio State Players Who May Declare for the Draft and Never Play for the Buckeyes Again
By David Hayes

The Big Ten's decision to delay the 2020 conference college football season from this fall to next spring sent shockwaves across the sport. A conference-wide announcement like this one now also means that College Football Playoff contender Ohio State's name is removed from this year's potential race.
With that being said, there could also be a handful of top-caliber Buckeye talents we never see take the field for OSU again as collegiate players eligible for the 2021 NFL Draft.
Top Ohio State Players Eligible for 2021 NFL Draft
1. Justin Fields, QB
If it weren't for an overlap with one of the greatest NFL QB prospects in recent memory in Clemson's Trevor Lawrence, Justin Fields would likely be considered a near lock to be the No.1 pick 2021 NFL Draft. However, thanks to Lawrence, he's firmly at the No. 2 spot among QBs in this draft class. His numbers speak for themselves, with 3,273 yards, 41 touchdowns and just 3 interceptions last season, as well as another 484 yards and 10 TDs on the ground.
2. Shaun Wade, CB
Shaun Wade projects to be the next top Buckeye talent from a line of impressive DBs that have come out of Columbus in the last decade. While he doesn't carry the same potential as his former teammate and fellow OSU DB Jeffrey Okudah (the No. 3 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft), Wade certainly carries first or early-second-round potential if he were to declare for the 2021 NFL Draft.
3. Wyatt Davis, G
Wyatt Davis would have qualified as a fourth-year junior had this season been off to its normal start, and he was even eligible for the 2020 NFL Draft but forewent it. Davis is coming off a phenomenal 2019 All-American season and projects to be one of the top guards in the 2021 NFL Draft class.
