The Houston Texans saw enough, following an 0-4 start to the regular season. The made head coach and general manager Bill O'Brien the first head coach firing of the 2020 NFL season. In his absence, veteran coach Romeo Crennel was named the interim head coach.

It seems like the Texans underachieved every season with O'Brien, and they were trending in the wrong direction. With him now out the door, these are the three most likely replacements for him at head coach.

3. Greg Roman (Ravens OC)

This offense for the Texans has struggled, with the running game being especially terrible, averaging the fewest amount of rushing yards in the league (73.5). The Baltimore Ravens' offensive coordinator has featured top-eight rushing attacks every season as an offensive coordinator, so it would make sense to hire him to turn this team around, starting on the ground.

2. Eric Bieniemy (Chiefs OC)

Eric Bieniemy should be considered the top coordinator available for a promotion, especially if the Kansas City Chiefs go on a run yet again. If you can't beat them, steal an important member of their staff. Bieniemy has had great success under Andy Reid, and he will be highly-coveted this offseason.

1. Romeo Crennel (Interim HC)

Crennel has 83 games of head coaching experience under his belt already, and he has the opportunity to turn this winless Texans team around immediately. Should he somehow rally this roster and make even a shot at a run to one playoff spot, it could be tough for Houston to overlook the man already on staff. Crennel has also been in the Texans organization since 2014, so he could be given every chance to win this job.
