3 Most Likely Destinations for Kyle Fuller in Free Agency
By michael obermuller

The cap-stricken Chicago Bears have begun to tear down their once great defense, officially putting defensive end Akiem Hicks on the trade block, and then releasing cornerback Kyle Fuller.
The last two years have been down seasons for Fuller according to Pro Football Focus. After an 83.0 grade in Chicago's dominant 2018 season, the veteran corner has slipped to 62.5 and 64.1 in 2019 and 2020, respectively.
Even so, All-Pro corners don't hit the free agency market everyday, so expect suitors to lineup for Fuller. Here are the three most likely destinations.
3. New York Jets
The New York Jets could use a veteran to step in as their top corner after the Pierre Desir signing blew up in their face last season. Right now Robert Saleh's defense projects second-year pro Bryce Hall as the top corner, with third-year pro Bless Austin as his counterpart. The two started the back-end of 2020 together after Desir's release and performed adequately. An upgrade is definitely on the offseason agenda, though. Fuller would fix the inexperience problem in the Jets secondary, although they might be wary to offer anything long-term given the team's youth movement.
2. Indianapolis Colts
Xavier Rhodes is still a free agent after a decent one-year campaign with the Indianapolis Colts. If Indy doesn't choose to re-sign Rhodes, they'll need to replace him. What better candidate than Fuller is available right now? The ex-Bears veteran could easily slide in at CB1 for the Colts, and they have enough cap space to sign both Fuller and Rhodes if they really want to. Indianapolis had a solid defense in 2020, but their weak spot was in coverage, allowing 245.1 yards per game in 2020 (20th overall).
1. Denver Broncos
This landing spot would make perfect sense. Fuller's former defensive coordinator is the head coach of the Denver Broncos in Vic Fangio. The Broncos also have the cap space available to afford the corner, and could use help at that position after releasing A.J. Bouye this offseason. Lastly, Denver has already publicly announced their interest in Fuller, making this the most likely destination for the coveted defensive back.
